What we do

«Once strictly confined to Galway city centre, we've spread out and are finding new fans as far a field as Clare and Mayo (that's not to mention our listeners online in Brazil and Japan). We broadcast weekdays year round, taking short breaks for Christmas and Easter. You can expect extended hours for Rag Week and full coverage of important campus events from the SU elections to the Muscailt Arts Festival.

Bar the two full-time staff, the station is composed entirely of student volunteers, and we can always do with more! Whether your interest lies in production, technical work, interviewing, promotion, research, editing or presenting we'd like to hear from you. Drop into us at the station in Áras Uí Chathail, check out our volunteer application form (below) or visit the stand at Societies' Day. Working at the station has many perks; it's a great social network, you can get an ALIVE certificate, you'll never worry about speaking in public again, and crucially, if you'd like to work in broadcast the experience and skills you will pick up along the way are invaluable.»
